Taking place at California State University, Fullerton’s New Music Festival, Afterimage is a brand new program featuring saxophone works written by each member of the Kinds of Kings composer collective. Exploring themes of contemporary life including street harassment, displacement, and living through moments of darkness, “Afterimage” is the first collaboration between Kinds of Kings and ~Nois. The concert will include two West Coast premieres by members Susanna Hancock and Maria Kaoutzani and a West Coast premiere by Kinds of Kings Bouman Fellow, composer Cassie Wieland.
